CHROME EXTENSION
THE PROBLEM
We realized that asking an entire company to import their LinkedIn networks through a bumpy mobile ZKTLS flow was infeasible. The friction was too high, and adoption was suffering.
We needed a faster way so we gave recruiters a Chrome extension to sync their own and their company's networks into Icebreaker using only public data that's already visible to them.
APPROACH
LinkedIn is the hardest network to sync — the others are easier to access. With a Chrome extension, we could run a background process and let users build their network graph while browsing normally.
I designed the full extension experience: the popup UI, the onboarding flow, queue management, and the button injection on LinkedIn profile pages. Included detailed interaction notes for my developer to ensure the states and edge cases were covered.

THE DESIGN
Full Figma overview with interaction notes and development specs
Onboarding flow — surprisingly tricky since users need to verify before syncing
Fully loaded state — queue at capacity, recent syncs visible, button states
Queue injection — the button added to LinkedIn profile pages for one-click sync
Sync status — showing when someone has already been synced to avoid duplicates
